The spinning creates a pumping effect that pulls air in through the “eye” in the hat and blasts out through the vents, carrying heat with it. The drilled and slotted surfaces remove brake dust, water, and gases from the rotor surfaces, ensuring strong contact and friction between the rotor and the brake pads. The slots and holes refresh the pad’s texture as well. All of this leads to low or absent brake fade and intense, precise braking power.
